can not login local mysql [1]

when execute the command "mysql -u root -p"in xshell5,it like blocking,return nothing,however in windows cmd ,it ask me password,and,i can login successfully.
my system is windows8.1 64bit for Simplified Chinese.

SQL command requires interactive shell environment which we are still working on. Have you tried going into 'cmd' before using the command.?
