PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

This article explains how you can fix the issue with Hspice Avanwaves leaving trail of image when opening menus.


*When window is minimized and restored, display comes back to normal.


RESOLUTION

This may occur when when the application does not support backing store (caching) feature. To fix this issue, follow the instruction below:


  1. Open Xconfig and double click on the profile you use (by default, it is the Default Profile).
    RESULT: Xconfig Profile properties dialog box opens. 
  2. Click on the Color tab. 
  3. Select Auto detect from the Default Visual list.
  4. Click on the Advanced tab.
  5. Select Do Not Use from the Backing Store option.
