Remote printer configuration: IRIX/SCO Unix

Configuring a remote printer on IRIX

  1. As root, run toolchest.

  2. Click Printer Manager from the system menu.

  3. Double-click on the Add button.

  4. Enter Printer name.

  5. Select Network for remote printers.

  6. Enter the PC's name or IP address for the Remote Host Name.

  7. Click OK.

 

Configuring a remote printer on SCO Unix

  1. Run scoadmin as root user.

  2. Click Printers.

  3. Click Printer Manager.

  4. Click Printer/Add Remote/UNIX.

  5. Enter a host name of the PC.

  6. Enter Printer name.

  7. Make sure the Use extended remote printing protocol option is not checked.

  8. Click OK button.
