Xmanager in service mode
Friday, August 10, 2012 4:54 AM - Rostan
Presently I've installed Xmanager on windows box. In order to start Xmanager I take remote & start. But whenever I log off from server it shuts down. Workaround for that is close the session without log-off. Is there a way that I can run it as service.

Xmanager cannot run as a Windows service.
For now the only way to reconnect to a session is to use xVNC. Here is an example:
1. Run vncserver on Linux on display # 13
# vncserver :13
2. Enter password
3. On Xstart, create a new session and enter the host and account information. For command, use:
# vncviewer :13
4. Enter password and login.
You can disconnect and reconnect to this session.
