Feature Request - Lock Tab [1]

Feature Request - Lock Tab

I'm loving everything about XShell 4, but there is one feature I would love to see.

Sometimes I have multiple tabs open to the same server and one of the tabs is running something in the foreground (and another might be tailing the log file from the program running in tab 1 and maybe a 3rd tab is watching top.

I have at times switched between tabs and accidentally killed tab 1 (running the program) instead of stopping the tail (in tab 2) because both screens may show output in the terminal.

Yes, this is a user problem and not a software problem, but here we are... :)

What I would like is to be able to "lock" a specific terminal, not by password, but just to disregard input. Maybe something like right-clicking on the tab and having an option for disregarding / ignore input on this tab. Then to re-enable input, just right click and turn it off. It would still show all output on the screen. It would just ignore any input while viewing that tab.

It would be useful to change the green light icon on the tab to a lock icon as well to show its locked status (or some equally unobtrusive lock notification).

Thoughts?

Program Ver. : Xshell 4 Beta

I think this would be an excellent feature to have! I have added this feature to our queue. Hope to see this feature come to life myself.
