Why sometimes the key q appears in prompt without doing anything?

This problem usually occurs when the remote server does not support Keep Alive feature. Try disabling the "Send keep alive messages while..." option.

I had the same problem but it was fixed with the Kepp Alive option off. Perhaps you should try restarting the program or upgrade to the latest version.
