failed to execute Xmanager [6]
failed to execute Xmanager
Thursday, May 18, 2006 5:19 PM - Cbetz
Hi,
I installed as user administrator Xshell1.2 and Xmanager 2.0, with the option to be able to allow all users the execution of both programs.
As admin user there was no problem to execute from a Xshell Session a program wich uses the Xmanager to display. For example I tried yast2 &.
But when I tried to do the same thing as a normal user of the system I got the information:
failed to execute Xmanager:
Make shure that Xmanager is correctly installed in this system.
But the Xmanager seems to be correctly installed because when I use Xstart everything works fine.
I also checked that in the ssh options the tunneling is set with X11 Forwarding to the Xmanager.
In my opinion there is perhaps a problem with the registry of the normal user for the Xmanager.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Christine

Have u tried installing Xmanager Enterprise?
Also, try uninstalling Xmanager and Xshell, and then reinstall.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I tried to uninstall and reinstall XShell2.0 an XManager2.0. But there was no change.
Normally I would prefer not to use the Enterprise Software because of the Lizenz we have.

Here I attached a fix for this problem. Please extract Xshell.exe from the attached file and place in Xshell directory.
C:\Program Files\NetSarang\Xshell\
We apologize for the delay and the trouble.
