Uploading files to a remote host

If an SFTP or FTP connection is established, you can upload files. There are various ways to upload files or folders to the remote computer.

To upload files with menu:

  1. Select files to upload in the Local Folder window. 
  2. Place a Remote Folder tab on either side of the Local Folder tab.
  3. Choose one of the following three options:
    • On the Commands menu, click Transfer. And then, from the Destination dialog box, select the destination folder.
    • From the menu opened by the right-click in the Local Folder window, click Transfer. And then, from the Destination dialog box, select the destination folder.
    • On the Toolbar, click Transfer Left or Transfer Right.


To upload files with drag and drop:

  1. Select files to upload in the Local Folder window.
  2. Drag the selected files and drop them onto the Remote Folder window.


Note

You can also drag files from the Windows Explorer and drop them onto the Remote Folder window.


To upload files with copy and paste:

  1. Select files to upload in the Local Folder window.
  2. Choose one of the following three options:
    • On the Edit menu, click Copy.
    • From the menu opened by the right-click in the Local Folder window, click Copy.
    • On the Toolbar, click Copy.
  3. Click the Remote Folder window.
  4. Choose one of the following three options:
    • On the Edit menu, click Paste.
    • From the menu opened by the right-click in the Remote Folder window, click Paste.
    • On the Toolbar, click Paste.


Note

You can also copy files from the Windows Explorer and paste them to the Remote Folder window.


To upload files after creating an upload list:

  1. Select files to upload in the Local Folder window.
  2. Right-click on the selected files, and then click Queue.

To resume uploads in pause status:

  1. Select one of the following methods.
    • In the Transfer window, right-click on the paused transfers, and then click Resume.
    • Right-click on the Transfer window, and then click Resume All.
