How can I also log the vi(vim) screen?

If my screen is opened with vi (vim), how can I record to a log file? The inability to do so makes checking log files difficult.

RESOLUTION

Before logging, please try turning on the following options in the session file’s properties.

Open

When using applications such as Vi (ViM), you can choose whether to use an alternate terminal screen.

When using an alternate screen, the operation takes place on a different screen than the scroll buffer, so that part of the screen is not logged.

Use this option to avoid using alternate terminal screens.
