Another "Connects / Disconnects" [2]

Hello, I am having the same problem as the user above. My Xshell connects to the host, then quickly disconnects.

I may have a little more information for you, however.

It seems that the problem, atleast for me, happens when I save the host key to the database and my SSH server chooses a new host key. Forgive my SSH ignorance, but this seems like normal operation.

My problem is, I can't seem to find where the host keys, I've saved, are located. Both the "Host Key Manager" and "User Key Manager" are empty.

Deleting and re-creating my sessions doesn't seem to work.

I am 100% sure the problem is not on the SSH server side, as other SSH clients can connect.

Where might I find the host key database? I clicked "Accept & Save" upon recieving the "SSH Security Warning: Unknown Host Identification." These saves don't seem to go in to the "Host Key Manager"

When you save a host key for the SSH1 protocol, it is not displayed on the Host Key Manager. However, it is saved and works without problem. You can find the host keys at:

C:\Document and Settings\%User%\Application Data\NetSarang\SECSH\HostKeys\ssh1_hostkeys

The problem that the host key is not displayed on the Host Key Manager dialog box will be fixed in the next version.

Anyway, the host key doesn't cause the disconnection problem. If the problem persists, please provide us with the messages displayed on the Xshell window while conneting.

Thank you for your assistance. You were right, my problem had nothing to do with the Xshell client or saved host keys. But the information proved useful.

It seems that two separate SSH daemons decided to clear their saved keys for some reason. Upon regeneration of the key pairs, Xshell connected just fine.
