특정프로그램 실행시 X11TransSocketINETConnect 에러 [1]

xmanager에서 Fedora 4로 ssh를 통해 접속하여 터미널 창을 열었습니다. xstart를 물론 이용하구요.
거기서 Terminal창을 더 띄운다든지... Gimp등 응용프로그램 혹은 matlab을 실행하는 것도 됩니다만 ferret이라는 graphic program 실행 중에 그림을 띄우는 부분에서 X11TransSocketINETConnect : Can't get address for localhost

라는 메세지가 나오네요.. 이문제를 여기에 올려서 물어보는 것이 맞지 않는 줄은 알지만 혹시 비슷한 걸 경험해서 해결하신 분이 있을까 하여 올려봅니다.
Fedora를 쓰기전에 Suse 9.1을 썼었는데.. 그때는 xmanager로 잘썼었거든요.. 당연히 linux상에서 이 프로그램을 사용하는데는 문제가 없습니다.
고수님들의 조언 부탁드립니다.

SSH가 안전한 통로를 통해서 X11 패킷을 넘겨줄 때 127.0.0.1이라는 주소를 사용합니다. 그리고 이 127.0.0.1에 해당하는 호스트 이름이 'localhost'입니다. 이 두 값은 보통은 자동으로 정해지게 되며 이와 다른 값을 사용하면 안됩니다.

localhost의 IP주소가 127.0.0.1이 아니거나 지정이 되어 있지 않다면 SSH 접속으로 X11응용프로그램을 사용할 경우 이와 같은 에러 메시지가 납니다.

/etc/hosts파일에 다음과 같이 되도록 수정하시기 바랍니다.

127.0.0.1 localhost
