On one of our PCs XLPD takes around 25 minutes to start up, which of course can be very frustrating when an urgent print run is underway - is there any known reason why this could be? Once launched, the splashscreen is displayed then it turns white and stays this way until the program loads.
The PC specs are:
Windows XP SP3
Windows Firewall turned off
No AV installed
Other applications installed:
Microsoft Office 2003
Progress 10
Task manager shows that there is sufficient RAM and CPU available.
Thanks
Program Ver. : Xlpd 2.x

This may happen if you have too many spool files or log files got too large. Please try moving the following folder to a different location and try again:
%appdata%\netsarang\xlpd
If the problem persists, please send us the all messages in the Xlpd log.

Excellent, that has made all the difference - now it opens instantly. Not surprising it was having trouble - there were about 215,000 items in the sub folders!
Many Thanks,
