xterm charater set [3]

i am working for a japanesse company, and i'm having trouble with xterm regarding character set.

could someone tell me how to set character set to euc

As far as I know, xterm doesn't support two byte characters. So if you are trying to use Asian characters, try using gnome-terminal or dtterm instead.

Xterm can support two-byte characters. Not only for display, but also for input.

Xshell can support two-byte character set. But not xterm.
Xterm is a terminal emulator like Xshell. But it's based on X11 libraries. So it needs Xserver like Xmanager. Old xterm can't support two-byte character set. But recent xterms allow two-byte inputs and outputs. At least in the xterm of solaris 10 you can do it.
