접속하고자 하는 리눅스 장비에서 localhost라는 호스트의 위치를 알지 못해 발행하는 문제입니다. localhost는 자기 자신을 나타내는 특수한 호스트 이름입니다. Xmanager를 사용할 때 SSH의 X11 포워딩 기능을 이용할 때 localhost라는 주소를 아주 중요하게 사용합니다.

/etc/hosts 파일에 다음과 같은 내용이 들어가도록 해야 합니다.

127.0.0.1 localhost

localhost는 Xmanager 접속 시뿐만 아니라 많은 응용프로그램에서 사용하는 호스트 이름이므로 위 내용은 반드시 정의되어 있어야 합니다.
