Login on Mandrake 8.1 linuxbox

Hi.
Can someone please help me finding a way to connect as root on a linux box with mandrake 8.1 ?
With the 8.0 i didn't had to change anything to login as root neither to connect.
With this new one i found the way to connect with the help abut linux configuration but still can't login as root.
Please help me :)
Thanks
MAURIZIO

Problem: Root login on Mandrake 8.1
Solution for gdm:
1. open /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf.
2. search for [security] section.
3. change the value of "AllowRemoteRoot" to "true".
Solution for kdm:
1. open /usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc.
2. search for [X-*-core] section.
3. change the value of "AllowRootLogin" to "true".
And you should restart gdm/kdm or reboot the Linux.
