Login using a yubikey [4]
Login using a yubikey

I want to login using the yubikey, but there is no provision to configure that type of authentication mechanism in xshell.
My authentication method has 2 parts:
typed password + the encrypted key from the yubikey
What I want to achieve is:
Similar to "keyboard interactive" or "password" authentication mechanism, I want to enter the "password part" via the connection properties (preventing it to be typed in again and again at every connection attempt) and the encrypted key from yubikey must be taken via a prompt while the connection is established. Then xshell software will combine the 2 and send it to the server and enable successful logins.
Please let me know if it would be possible to implement this feature and how soon will it be possible.
Thanks
Lalit

Hello any update here ?
We use key + password authentication, but unfortinatly I didn't find how to setup that automatically, XShell has only option to auth by password or key but not both of them, isn't right ? Is there way to use password and key ?

Xshell can support multi-factor authentication. It should be configured in the ssh server.
In the case of OpenSSH, you can set multi-factor auth in the sshd_config file of your server.
AuthenticationMethods password,publickey
You can also refer to the sshd_config manpage.
