PROBLEM DESCRIPTION or QUESTION

When using XDMCP to connect to a Fedora 33 device, you may see the following prompt.

RESOLUTION

The PC/SC daemon is a daemon program for smart card authentication. This daemon is unnecessary if you are not utilizing a smart card authentication system.

Disable this server if you are not utilizing a smart card authentication system.

# systemctl disable pcscd; systemctl stop pcscd
