Cannot complete SSH login. Login process stops after Escape character is '^@]'

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION


When connecting to the remote host via SSH, you get stuck at the following last line:
Xshell (Build 0000)
Copyright (c) 2002-2018 NetSarang Computer, Inc. All rights reserved.

Type `help' to learn how to use Xshell prompt.
[C:\~]$ 
Connecting to 192.168.1.123:22...
Connection established.
Escape character is '^@]'.

RESOLUTION


This problem may occur when Xshell has the "Don't allocate a pseudo-terminal' option enabled. This option allows Xshell to run as tunneling only mode. To disable this option:
  1. Open session properties
  2. Click on the SSH menu
  3. Clear the "Don't allocate a pseudo-terminal" option
