With numlock on, keys 0-9 do nothing.
With numlock off, keys function correctly as arrow keys.
What do i need to change to enable the numeric keys?

If you are experiencing the problem with VI editor, please read on. Otherwise, please send us the information listed at the end of this posting.
VI editor may not recognize the key pad values in certain terminal types. Try changing the terminal type to ANSI or VT220. To change the terminal type, use the following command:
