Telnet keep getting interrupted [5]

i am running the latest version 5 beta.

The issue I experience: telnet to a switch and the session freezes every 1 minute or so. It won't accept any input and does not show me any live terminal log either during, like connection is lost. Then it comes back to normal. About 1 minute later, the same. Everytime, I got the telnet connection back from the interruption, there is a "q" somehow got inputted in the terminal (not sure if this helps).

Is there any log I can capture to share here for this issue?

I tried to configure ACTIVE and Passive under telnet setting but does not seem change anything.

Can you try connecting to switch using the Windows default telnet client? Use the telnet command from cmd.exe.

If you experience the same issue from the cmd.exe, this is probably a configuration issue on the switch device.

I did try that and also putty. No interruption experienced with those.

BTW, do u have any documentation explaining the function of ACTIVE and PASSIVE under TELNET settings?

Here is further testing: it seems to get better if I disable the Keep Alive setting.

Not sure if that's related in any shape or form.

It might be related.

Is the problem fixed after disabling the keep alive options or is it just a bit better than before?
