To change the log file location, go to Session properties > Logging and there you can set the location and log filename.

To change the default log folder, do this:

1. Open Xshell
2. While you are not connected to any session, open the session properties.

This will open session properties for the Default session. Anything you change here will affect the sessions created thereafter.

Thanks you for support.
Yes, you are right,
but this steps can't allow to change/set default foder for log files.

Session option selected: "Automatically create a new file in the log folder".
In default session or any session - not care.
But user can't set this "the log folder".
No elements in Session Propertied dialog.
Just "Open Log Folder".

I have the same problem. The key question is how to change the default folder path where you click "Open Log Folder".
Right now, no matter how I change the settings, everytime, I click "Open Log Folder", it always open "$USER\AppData\Roaming\NetSarang\Xshell\Log Files".
That's really a uncomfortable thing.

It easy.

1) Go to logging under the session properties.
2) Choose "Use the following file (%n: session name, %d: date, %t :time)"
3) Browse to the folder you want.
4) Add '%n_%d_%t.log' at the end of the path. (no quotes)

Example:
If you have log folder under C drive it would be:
'File Path: C:\Logs\%n_%d_%t.log'

You have to do this for each session you already created. Also, set this under the "local shell" session, so any new session that are create will have this setup by default.

You can edit multiple sessions by selecting multiple files and right click then select properties.
