The protocol version of the IP address to use to connect to the remote server.
- Auto: When using an Internet address as the server address, the protocol version of that address is used. When using a host name, the Internet address corresponding to the host name is checked, and if an IPv6 address is available, it is used; if not, the IPv4 address is used.
- IPv4: Only addresses in IPv4 format are used. After the host name's IP address is looked up, the IPv4 address is used, and if not, the connection fails.
- IPv6: Only addresses in IPv6 format are used. After the host name's IP address is looked up, the IPv6 address is used, and if not, the connection fails.
